MCNS is capable and willing to participate in joined ventures and groups for 5G/6G research and development, focusing on innovative Radio Access technologies and applications. MCNS can specialize the 6G research analysis based on project requirements as well as the 6G service development based on commercial use cases.

MCNS 6G R&D Details

According to 3GPP as well as ITU and ETSI standards 6G technology should make use of THz communication, extreme data analytics, AI-machine learning next-generation computation capabilities enhanced by preliminary quantum computing as well as MIMO antenna principles with reconfigurable intelligent surfaces (RIS).

MCNS’s research effort is focused on specific technology areas of Radio Access Networks next-generation wireless communications, based on joint applications of mobile communication and machine learning based algorithms.

It is also MCNS’s conviction that 6G research should be properly applied in commercial and industrial applications, promoting the meaning of research. There are many different and diverse applications use cases to be developed and MCNS is mostly promoting the holographic communications, the Wireless Power Transfer technology as being fully integrated in the 6G network infrastructure, the merging of RAN with machine learning algorithms and the THz communications.

6G applied R&D:

Sub-THz communications used as the necessary background to increase bandwidth and data throughput to open new bandwidth demanding services as the holographic communications

Holographic communications to enhance the voice and video experience into another evolutional level. Holographic information display, static or dynamic, requires high bandwidth and extreme low latency on both radio access and transport network

6G will make further use, more than 5G Advanced, of machine learning algorithms to enhance the performance and efficiency of RAN functionality. MCNS is focusing on R&D extensive analysis of MAC to physical cross-layer optimization based on intuitive machine learning algorithmic approach
