A scientific research team of scientists, led by Jordan Thomas from Northwestern University in the United States, achieved what was once considered impossible.
For the first time, they successfully carried out quantum teleportation through a 30-kilometer-long optical fiber cable.
Quantum teleportation involves transferring the quantum state of a particle, such as a photon, from one location to another. To put it simply, this phenomenon defies the speed of light limit. Teleportation enables the transfer of information contained in a quantum bit (qubit) without requiring the physical movement of the particle.
