Solution proposal for Outdoor-to-Indoor high window glass losses in mmW band RAN planning

It is well known to planners that the more the operating frequency moves higher in the spectrum to mmWave bands the higher are the losses from building walls and glasses-windows. This is a major problem for outdoor to indoor planning posing several restrictions to indoor planners and optimizers. German startup Alcan Systems has developed a cunning piece of CPE using liquid crystal technology which can be stick to a window in order to make it much more welcoming to mmWave indoor transmissions. The complete solution combines with a glass treatment called Wavethru, developed by Japanese company AGC, to solve all your low-E glass mmWave penetration problems.
