MCNS is involved in a 5G NSA RAN optimization project visiting Rakuten offices in Japan, as part of contractual agreement services to Qualcomm.
Part of the project is the initial review of 5G NSA RAN related parameter configuration, including proper link level simulations to figure out the exact RLC, MAC and Physical parameter correlation to network performance. Most important is however the conducted RLC-MAC cross-layer mathematical analysis and modeling for capacity and coverage performance.
5G sectors are 5G NSA macros and micros for street urban and sub-urban areas with some emphasis on outdoor to indoor coverage.
KPI analysis and the parameter impact to basic KPI metrics is crucial for the performance assessment.
